and Donations

250 renewing members. The Membership
campaign is conducted in January of each
year, but new members can join CAPA at
any time throught the year. Donations
are received from individuals and groups
who recognize the importance of their
support for prevention. For a list of
donors, see "Supporters of CAPA" on
website index at left.
Fundraisers
CAPA sponsors two
fundraisers to support its prevention
programming. The CAPA Magic Ride
Bicycle Tour is the first Saturday in
June, and the CAPA Talent Showcase -
Kids Helping Kids - is held at Kroger on
Labor Day Weekend.
Children's
Trust Fund (CTF)
The Children's Trust
Fund was established in 1983 as a
resource for developing and funding
child abuse prevention programs.
Interest generated from a $20 million
trust fund supports prevention programs
throughout the state of Michigan,
including Hillsdale County. Look for
the reinstatement of CTF Check-Off on
your 2006 state income tax form - this
money will benefit all child abuse
prevention councils throughout
Michigan.
