1st Annual Children's Charity Ball
The 1st Annual Children’s Charity Ball was a success with over 300 people in attendance at Johnny T’s Next Door. With the funds that were raised through the event and silent auction CAPA was able to purchase 20 new RealCare simulated babies for our Baby Think It Over campaign. The CAPA Ball Committee, headed by CAPA Vice-President Megan Stiverson, reached out to over 50 community and county businesses as well as many others who donated gifts and financial contributions to the silent auction.
The Children’s Charity Ball was a celebration of CAPA’s mission to prevent child abuse and neglect in Hillsdale County and was in loving memory of Trey Bowman who passed away in Hillsdale County in 2001. The evening featured Michigan State Trooper Dan Bowman, who is Trey Bowman’s father as well as a CAPA board member, as the keynote speaker.
